Tourism Minister says Jamaica working feverishly to deal with issues that lead to travel advisories for the country
Jamaica is working feverishly to remove elements which result in countries issuing advisories against travel to Jamaica.
Tourism Minister Edmund Bartlett made the comment at this morning’s post-Cabinet press briefing.
Several countries have issued advisories warning its citizens of dangers relating to crime, violence, insufficient health care, among others.
Addressing the situation this morning, Mr. Bartlett said Jamaica is working on all items which foster a negative assessment by these countries.
Though Consuls must warn their citizens if they perceive danger, Mr Bartlett said he is grateful that the market does not share the views of the advisories.
