Minister of Tourism, Edmund Bartlett says some tourism workers will now receive full payment of gratuity.
He made the announcement following a strategic meeting with Inverotel, one of the largest Spanish hotel investment groups.
The Inverotel Group has 18 members from various hotel chains, which together have around 100,000 rooms in the Americas and the Caribbean.
Mr. Bartlett said Inverotel has committed to including full payment of gratuity and support for staff participation in the Tourism Workers Pension Scheme to ensure social security for workers in retirement.
He said all investors investing in more than 500 rooms will be required to have a housing component for workers.
