Tourism Minister Edmund Bartlett leading marketing blitz in Brazil to boost arrivals from Latin America
Tourism Minister, Edmund Bartlett is leading a marketing blitz in Brazil as part of efforts to increase arrivals and earnings from the Latin American (LATAM) market.
The Latam region has over six hundred million people and represents one of the largest source markets for Jamaica to capitalize on.
Mr. Bartlett has set a target of attracting 250,000 visitors over the next five years.
The marketing mission will include high-level talks on building tourism resilience through a Memorandum of Understanding (MOU) between Jamaica and Brazil.
With more airlift out of the region starting with Latam Airlines resuming direct flights to Montego Bay out of Lima in December, Mr. Bartlett said Jamaica’s tourism will be boosted.
