The St. Ann police are urging persons, especially tour bus operators to desist from transporting tourists to the White River in Ocho Rios in the parish for illegal rafting.

The river will be closed to illegal rafters starting next week.

The police are urging illegal rafters seeking registration to make arrangements with White River Calypso Rafting and Tubing, the only entity licensed to operate on the river.

The St. Ann police say illegal rafting on the White River will not be tolerated.
