Todss awaiting government response following submission of proposals about demerit points system
One taxi group has indicated that having submitted proposals to government about the demerit points system for drivers licence, it’s now awaiting a response.
The matter was discussed at a stakeholder meeting in Kingston on Wednesday.
The meeting was organised by the Island Traffic Authority, (ITA), in the wake of concerns expressed by the taxi operators about the automatic suspension of drivers licence for motorists who have 10 or more demerit points.
President of the Transport Operators Development Sustainable Services, (TODSS) Egeton Newman said Wednesday’s meeting went well.
Mr Newman said operators have been assured that their concerns will be addressed quickly.
