The five-time champion Tiger Woods is now in Georgia ahead of the start of the 2023 masters tournament on Thursday. 

Woods, who secured one round of practice at the Augusta National course, is hoping for a better finish than last year, when he finished in 47th last season. 

This is the 25th time he will be participating in the 87-year-old tournament.

He last won the event in 2019 but has not competed full-time since his 2021 car accident. 

This will be his first major appearance during this pga season, as he missed the Players Championship in March. 

Last year Woods played in the 2022 masters as well as the PGA Championship and the Open Championship.
