Three men are to face charges in relation to the abduction of two women in Harbour View, Kingston on Tuesday, April 8.

Reports are that shortly after 6 AM, the women boarded a taxi on their way to work.

The men in the vehicle brandished firearms and robbed the victims of their phones, cash and bank cards.

The women were released some two hours later in Pembroke Hall, St. Andrew, where they were rescued by lawmen.

Head of the National Strategic Anti-Gang Division, Deputy Superintendent of Police, Susan Bruce said an investigation was launched and three men, all in their twenties, were nabbed on Thursday.

She said several items including two pistols and ammunition were also seized from the men.

DSP Bruce noted that the men are facing charges including possession of prohibited weapons and kidnapping.
