Three people are dead and two others injured following a motor vehicle collision along the Norman Manley Boulevard in Hanover last evening.

Dead are 65-year-old Calbert Hart, of Cousins Cove, 47-year-old Owen Jackson, of Cauldwell, and 37-year-old Ricardo Baylis, of Green Island — all in the parish.

The details of the incident are not clear, but the crash involved a brown Hilux motor car and a green Toyota Corolla.

The crash, which occurred at around 5:50 P.M., resulted in five people sustaining injuries.

They were taken to hospital where Baylis, Hart and Jackson were pronounced dead.

Meantime, Vice-Chairman of the National Road Safety Council, Dr. Lucien Jones is urging persons to practice road safety.
