Three Jamaican ladies awarded Olympic medals at medal reallocation ceremony

Jamaican Olympians Beverly Mcdonald, Chelsea Hammond-Ross and Kaliese Spencer-Carter who competed at Sydney 2000, Beijing 2008 and London 2012 olympics, were officially awarded their bronze medals during a special reallocation ceremony  at the Champions Park in Paris. 

This as they all were placed fourth in their respective events, and a member of the top three was disqualified due to doping.

Mcdonald, got her medal in the women’s 200 metres after American Marion Jones, who won the race, was disqualified after she admitted that she had used performance-enhancing drugs, 

In the meantime , Hammond-Ross got her medal for the long jump at the 2008 Beijing Games after Russian Tatyana Lebedeva was stripped of her silver medal for doping and Spencer-Carter in the 400 meter hurdles at the 2012 Games after Russian Natalya Antyukh was also disqualified for doping.
