Minister of National Security and Peace, Dr. Horace Chang, has strongly condemned the shooting incident in the Commodore community, in Linstead, St. Catherine, last evening.

The attack has claimed the lives of five people, including a child.

In a statement this morning, Dr. Chang described the incident as brutal and senseless.

He noted that the deliberate disregard for human life, especially the life of an innocent child, strikes at the very core of the nation’s humanity.

The National Security Minister said the attack is being intensely investigated, and that the criminals will be relentlessly pursued, apprehended and prosecuted.
