The Suncorp team Girls Cup to be played in Sydney for the first time
The Suncorp Super Netball League’s official Pre-Season Tournament, the Suncorp team Girls Cup, will be played in Sydney for the first time.
The pre-season tournament from March 22 to Sunday March 24 at Sydney’s Ken Rosewall Arena will mark the first opportunity for fans to see all eight Suncorp Super Netball teams in 2024, including newcomers Melbourne Mavericks with Sunshine Girl Shimona Nelson, in one place as they compete in the round robin style tournament.
The 2023 reigning premiers, the adelaide thunderbirds, will open the pre-season competition against the Melbourne Vixens on March 22 – The Thunderbirds team have have Sunshine Girls, Romelda Aiken-George, Shamera Sterling-Humphrey and Latanya Wilson.
In addition to the pre-season tournament, netball Australia and all member organisations will be delivering the first ever Suncorp Super Netball Trophy Tour.
The Suncorp Super Netball trophy will travel to every state and territory, connecting netball nationally in the lead up to round 1 of what is being described as the worlds best Netball League.
