The revised resumption dates of IPL clashes with WI vs England One Day International series

The revised resumption dates of the Indian Premier League will now coincide with the entire One Day International series between England and the West Indies starting on May 29 in Birmingham and ending on June 3 at the Oval.

Originally scheduled to end on May 25 in Kolkata, the IPL tournament which had to be suspended last week due to the ongoing military conflict between Pakistan and India will now resume on May 17 and end on June 3 based on the revised schedule. 

However, those dates will overlap the ‘Windies tour of England, where the Caribbean men will compete in three ODI’s and three T/20 internationals .

It will also lead to a clash for the West Indies players : Romario Shepherd who plays for Royal Challengers Begalaru, as well as Shamar joseph of the Lucknow Super Giants and Sherfane Rutherford of the Gujarat Titans, who have all been selected in the ‘Windies ODI squad.

Meanwhile, qualifier 1of the ipl,  will be contested on may 29 the date when the odi series bowls at egbaston  followed by the eliminator on May 30. 

Qualifier 2 has been set for June 1 when England and West Indies face off in Sophia Gardens for game two of their ODI series, while and the IPL final which bowls off on June 3 happens on the same day when both teams meet at the Oval for the third ODI. 

The revised IPL schedule features 13 league games and the four playoffs.
