The JCF salutes Omi
“The JCF salutes you Omi,” says the Jamaica Constabulary Force in a tweet on Friday morning (11/25/22).
The tweet comes after former policeman and ‘Cheerleader’ hitmaker Omi, was awarded for his consistent public advocacy and selfless devotion to the mission and work of the Jamaica Constabulary Force (JCF).
On Twitter, the JCF shared pictures of Omi performing and collecting his award from police commissioner, Major General Anthony Anderson during a ceremony on Thursday at the Police Officers’ Club, along Old Hope Road in St Andrew.
Omi enlisted in the Jamaica Constabulary Force in 2009 until 2013.
In 2013, Omi’s global hit ‘Cheerleader’ was originally released, and a remix followed in 2014 cementing his place on the international scene.
