A new book on the life of reggae legend Gregory Isaacs is set to officially launch next Monday.

Titled The Cool Ruler: The Incredible Life Story of Gregory Isaacs, the publication chronicles the iconic singer’s rise to international fame, while also exploring the personal struggles and controversies that shaped his journey.

Gregory’s widow, June Isaacs, shared that the book—written by Peter Price—was commissioned by the Gregory Isaacs Foundation. She noted that it offers an in-depth look at key moments in the artiste’s life and career.

The Cool Ruler: The Incredible Life Story of Gregory Isaacs, retails for $4,700 JMD or approximately $29.99 USD and is available at selective bookstores and on the Gregory Isaacs website.

Widely celebrated for timeless hits such as Night Nurse and Rumours, Isaacs remains one of reggae’s most influential voices. He passed away in London on October 25, 2010, following a lengthy illness.
