Taxi operator fatally stabbed in road rage incident in Runaway Bay; alleged attackers injured in crash while fleeing
An early morning incident at Truck Stop in Runaway Bay, St. Ann resulted in a taxi operator being fatally stabbed and his four alleged attackers being injured in a crash.
Dead is 49-year-old, Paul Miller of Runaway Bay.
Reports indicate that at around 2:00 A.M., Miller was at Salem, when a man allegedly used a Toyota axio motor car to hit Miller’s vehicle.
This resulted in an altercation.
Commanding Officer for St. Ann, Senior Superintendent Carlos Russell said 3 others including a female, joined the accused in confronting Miller.
The dispute became physical and Miller was stabbed several times in the neck.
SSP Russell said the 4 perpetrators fled in the Toyota axio which later crashed into a wall near the Runaway Bay Police Station.
He condemned the incident, stating that, violence should never be used to resolve conflicts.
