Taxi operator charged with murder following last month’s mob attack in Manchester
Manchester taxi operator Orlando Powell has been charged with the murder of 62-year-old Chieftin Campbell, following the mob attack in Mandeville on May 6.
An autopsy report revealed that Campbell died from blunt force trauma.
Head of the Manchester Police Division, Superintendent Lloyd Darby said investigators checked surveillance footage of the incident, after which Powell was arrested.
Powell appeared in the Manchester Parish court this morning (June 2) and was offered $500,000 bail.
