Tarrus Riley serenades 93-year-old fan

Tarrus Riley’s 2006 hit song, She’s Royal was the subject of an attempted money pull up from a 93-year-old fan, during the reggae singer’s performance at the Roots Rock Reggae Concert in Cayman Islands on the weekend.

In a video circulating on social media, Tarrus Riley was seen pausing his performance of the hit track, to acknowledge the gesture from a 93-year-old woman in the audience.  Amid shout-outs to the patron, Tarrus immediately repurposed the lyrics of She’s Royal to serenade the elderly fan; singing in part, “…tonight in Cayman history, you’re in the audience and you’re beautiful at ninety three…you’re royal Marlena and we’ve got  to give thanks for your life…never seen someone come out for Tarrus at ninety three… this is a moment I’ll never forget in my life.”

She’s Royal, is from Riley’s debut album Parables. To date, the 19-year-old anthem for women, has racked up over one hundred and twenty-nine-million views on YouTube.
