Dancehall artiste Kevin of the dancehall duo Voicemail is releasing an album on May 9, 2025 in memory of murdered Voicemail member, O’Neil.
May 9, 2010 was the date on which Oneil was fatally shot in Duhaney Park, St Andrew leaving Voicemail and the wider dancehall community in disbelief and grief.
Speaking with IRIE FM today, Kevin says his decision to release his album on that day is in an effort to change the meaning of the day to something positive and honor his friend at the same time.
Kevin also explained why the ten track album is called Skillvchi, pronounced skillachi.
One of the singles from the album dubbed “Keep moving” was officially released today and is available on all digital platforms.
