The I Love Jamaica Telethon and Virtual Concert slated for this Sunday will feature a powerhouse roster of Jamaican entertainers, including Tarrus Riley, Chris Martin, Lukie D, Alaine, Masicka among others.
Dancehall mega star Sean Paul in ramping up support for the concert invited everyone to tune in and donate.
The six-hour event will stream live online and on major broadcasters from 1 p.m. to 7 p.m., IRIE FM will be providing live updates.
The initiative announced by Culture Minister, Olivia Grange, forms part of the government’s wider post-Melissa recovery strategy. All proceeds will support hurricane recovery efforts.
Other concerts are scheduled for major cities, such as Miamai, London and New York in the weeks ahead.
