Shaggy, Sizzla, Louie Culture, among entertainers added to Tosh Fest Lineup

Shaggy, Sizzla Kalonji, Louie Culture and Samory-I are the latest entertainers to be added to the lineup for Tosh Fest, slated for October 19 in Westmoreland. 

The Peter Tosh Foundation, organizers of the event, made the revelation via their social media pages nothing that the entertainers will join Yaksta, Andrew Tosh, Ras-I and Westmoreland born singer Sevanna who were previously announced to perform.

Tosh Fest, hosting IRIE FM’s Amber will culminate a series of events during October in commemoration of what would have been the 80th birthday of the Reggae Icon. The organizers have shared that it is part of an initiative aimed at addressing disparities in Tosh’s hometown of Belmont, Westmoreland and that net proceeds from the event will provide essential resources for underserved communities in the icon’s birth parish. Peter Tosh, born Winston Hubert McIntosh was one of the core members of the Wailers Band and a successful solo artiste. He was a relentless advocate for justice, equality, and the decriminalization of Ganja. He was murdered on September 11, 1987, during a home invasion in Kingston. He was only 42 years.
