The JCDC Popular Song result show will proceed as planned this weekend as the country rebuilds following the passage of hurricane Beryl.

Last week as hurricane Beryl made her way to the island Minister of Culture Gender, Entertainment and Sport Olivia Grange through a release announced the postponement of roadshows scheduled for Ocho Rios, St Ann’s Bay, May Pen, Mandeville, Santa Cruz, Savanna-la-mar, Montego Bay and Falmouth.

However, as several parishes return to normalcy the show continues. The Winner for this year’s show will be determined by a combination of panel of Judges and public voting.

Voting began after the Live presentation show held on Thursday June 27 and will close on the evening of the Festival Song Results Show on Saturday July 13, 2024.

This year’s competition features an unprecedented number of females-six women compared to four men.
