IRIE FM’s Journalist Myesha Broadie is among several young people nominated for the 2023 Prime Minister’s National Youth Award for Excellence.
The awards, which honour youths for their accomplishments across various fields like entrepreneurship, agriculture, and journalism, will take place on the lawns of Jamaica House on Saturday, April 20, starting at 5:00 p.m.
Myesha Broadie, who has been nominated in the category of Journalism, expressed her gratitude for the nomination and encouraged aspiring journalists to pursue their dreams.
Recipients are selected from a pool of over 100 applicants and then shortlisted to 50 individuals.
Introduced in 1998, the Youth Award for Excellence recognizes Jamaicans aged 15 to 29 who have excelled and contributed to national development.
