Dancehall heavyweight Bounty Killer is lobbying for more attention to be given to Paul Bogle Day.
First observed on October 11 last year, Paul Bogle Day is an annual celebration commemorating Jamaica’s national hero and his contributions to the nation.
Via his verified Instagram account, Bounty Killer shared a poster featuring Paul Bogle’s image alongside Busy Signal’s 2019 classic “Great Men.” In the caption, Bounty wrote, “This day needs way much more highlight. Salute Sir Bogle.”
An event was held today (Oct 11) at the Anglican Church Hall in Morant Bay, near the Old Courthouse where Paul Bogle was executed and buried in 1865.
Paul Bogle Day, officially declared on October 11 last year, is dedicated to honoring the memory and vision of Paul Bogle, who led the fight for justice and freedom.
