International recording artiste Shenseea, who was in Belize for a show, on the weekend made time to pay a surprise visit to residents at the Hope Haven Children’s Home in northern Belize.
Shenseea, accompanied by Belize’s Tourism Minister Anthony Mahler made the visit to the children’s home in San Pedro on Saturday ahead of her performance at the Belize International Music and Food Festival. During their visit, they surprised the fourteen children residing at the home with a special presentation and a generous donation of school supplies.
Several videos shared by the artiste revealed footage of her interacting with the children, caregivers and administrators at the institution. One scene captured Shenseea encouraging the wards to find someone to relate to whenever they feel alone and in need of support, the artiste also expressed her hope to garner donations for the institution.
An appreciative representative of the children’s home expressed gratitude to the Belize Тоurіѕm Міnіѕtеr fоr organizing the visit which she said was a beautiful memory that would stay with the children forever.
Hope Haven Belize was established in 2018 with the clear objective of providing a haven for neglected, physically, and sexually abused children. Additionally, Hope Haven Belize established an empowerment centre designed to support vulnerable children and women with learning opportunities. Their primary goal is to create a safe and welcoming environment where every child feels valued and secure.
Shenseea’s appearance in Belize marked her seventh show in five weeks ahead of her North American “Never Gets Late” Tour which kicks off on August 16 in Chicago.
