Posting via his verified Instagram account, Mavado captioned the photo with “My son,” followed by a single red heart emoji.
In the comments, notable industry figures such as producer Stephen Di Genius, Bling Dawg, and Dovey Magnum joined social media users in offering messages of encouragement.
Dante Brooks, who was 18 at the time of sentencing, was convicted in 2021 of murder, illegal possession of a firearm, and arson. He must serve 22 years before being eligible for parole.
