Dancehall entertainer, Popcaan has come out in defence of his long-time associate, Canadian rapper, Drake.
In a video being circulated on social media, the Unruly Boss, while apparently doing an interview with London based Link up Tv, appeared bewildered upon hearing audio from a Kendrick Lamar track and questioned where the music was being played from. Upon receiving a response, he requested that it be turned off, reaffirming his loyalty to the OVO boss.
Popcaan signed to Drake’s OVO Sounds in 2018 but cut ties with the label in 2023 declaring in a public post on social media that the label can be weird sometimes but despite loving the label, he didn’t like it, and that he would be independent soon.
The two have collaborated on a few tracks, Twist and Turn and All I need in 2020, and We Caa Done from Popcaan’s Great is He album released on Drake’s Ovo label in 2023. It is widely speculated that the two entertainers also have numerous unreleased tracks.
