One year after news surfaced that legendary entertainer Lieutenant Stitchie was ailing, his wife Sophia Laing in a Music News interview today, says the veteran entertainer continues to improve daily and is still responding favourably to treatment.

Last September, news surfaced that Lieutenant Stitchie had suffered a brain haemorrhage. Since then, fellow entertainers, Bounty Killer, Shaggy, Richie Stephens, Sterling Gospel Music Awards and members of the Jamaica Gospel Music Industry have donated towards his medical expenses.

A GoFundMe campaign launched on September 1, 2024, to raise funds to assist the ailing entertainer is now at $25,158 USD.
