Cedella Marley, the daughter of Reggae legend Bob Marley, has joined the efforts to aid those affected by Hurricane Beryl.
Today (July 8), via her verified Instagram account, Cedella shared a slideshow of herself packaging goods at Food For The Poor headquarters in Coconut Creek, Florida. She captioned the post, “Doing my part today at Food For The Poor headquarters in Coconut Creek, Florida. Hurricane Beryl has brought devastation not only to Jamaica but also to other Caribbean islands.”
She continued, “My heart goes out to St. Vincent and the Grenadines, Union Island, and our Caribbean brothers and sisters who have been devastated by this hurricane. The Bob and Rita Marley Foundation has partnered with Food For The Poor on this hurricane relief initiative. I hope you join us. One love. #SmileJamaica @foodforthepoorja.”
Cedella Marley concluded her caption by acknowledging the hard work of the JPS crew in restoring electricity, saying, “And big up JPS crew working hard to get the lights back on.”
The aftermath of Hurricane Beryl has left many Jamaicans without electricity and water.
