BB Coke student who was beaten by older boy, discharged from hospital

The 14-year-old male student of BB Coke High School who was badly beaten by an older boy at his school last month, has been discharged from hospital.

Jaheim Coleman was released from the University Hospital of the West Indies, on Thursday (October 5).

His mother, Shantel Gouldbourne, gave an update on his condition.

Meanwhile, Education Minister Fayval Williams has reiterated that her ministry is working to make schools safe.

In a social media post this morning, Mrs. Williams said the ministry is committed to safe spaces and more counseling support for students.

She expressed hope that there will be an end to bullying in schools.
