Entertainer Wayne Marshall has joined renowned gospel artiste Donnie McClurkin, in rallying support for the Rhythm of Hope Concert, a fundraiser set to benefit residents in St Elizabeth through Food for the Poor, the largest charity organization in Jamaica.
Promotional videos shared by the social media pages of Food for the Poor see Marshall, McClurkin and others encouraging people to go out in their numbers to support the concert, slated for June 15 at Woolwich Works, Greenwich in London.
Endorsed by the Jamaican Government, the Rhythm of Hope concert is being organized by a team of US and UK volunteers all of Jamaican heritage, from The Global Jamaica Diaspora Youth Council UK and The Safety Box in collaboration with Food for the Poor.
The organizers in a release said funds raised at this concert will go towards Jamaica’s breadbasket parish to develop its resilience against further climate change events such as hurricanes and their impact on the future of agriculture.
