Dancehall Queen Carlene plans sister’s memorial to support cancer awareness

Former Dancehall Queen Carlene is staging a memorial event on Monday to commemorate the one-year anniversary of her sister Pinky’s passing. 

Doreen Prendergast, affectionately known as Pinky, passed away on July 29 last year after battling stage four breast cancer.

In an interview with Music News, Carlene explained that the free event aims to raise funds and awareness for those battling cancer.

Pinky’s Memorial will be held at MECA in Kingston on Monday, July 29, featuring performances by Beenie Man, Bounty Killer, Stone Love, and others.
