The management of Superior Parts Limited says the company is cooperating with the relevant authorities as investigations into the cause and circumstances of a fire at its Hagley Park Road Branch in St. Andrew continue.
On Thursday, the facility was destroyed along with nearby businesses and homes.
In a statement, Superior Parts expressed sadness at the incident and gratitude that no staff member was hurt.
The company noted the importance of its employees, adding that their safety and well-being remain a priority.
Superior Parts also acknowledged that neighbouring businesses and residential properties were affected. It extended thoughts and support to impacted persons.
The company said that as the investigation remains ongoing, it would be inappropriate to speculate about the cause of the fire or the circumstances surrounding its spread.
It said that it will await the findings of the relevant authorities.
Meanwhile, Superior Parts said that while Thursday’s fire led to significant losses, it remains committed to its employees, customers and Jamaica.
The company said that the immediate focus is on supporting those affected, working with the relevant authorities, and putting the necessary arrangements in place to move forward responsibly.
Superior Parts noted that while the main branch at Hagley Park is temporarily down, the other five branches will be open and available to serve customers.
