Sunshine Girls trio suit up for Adelaide Thunderbirds in Suncorp Super Netball League final
Sunshine girls defenders Shamera Sterling-Humphrey and Latanya Wilson are on the verge of winning consecutive Suncorp Super Netball League titles.
Both will take center court alongside compatriot Romelda Aiken-George – who signed during the off-season – for defending champions Adelaide Thunderbirds who face the Melbourne Vixens in the Grand Final on Saturday.
The contest is a repeat of the major semi-final where the Thunderbirds recorded a one-sided 68-43 victory at Adelaide 36ers Arena on July 19.
The Vixens after the demoralizing defeat, gained a second chance after battling to a closely-contested 73-72 victory against a West Coast Fever team that featured Shanice Beckford, Kadie-Ann Dehaney and Jhaniele Fowler-Nembhard.
The 2024 Grand Final will be played at the Adelaide Entertainment Center – home venue for reigning premiers who went unbeaten there in 8 matches this season.
