Students and staff of Christiana High School receive grief counselling following death of sixth former
Students and staff of the Christiana High School in Manchester received grief counselling and emotional support this morning following the death of a sixth former at the institution yesterday.
The deceased has been identified as 18-year-old footballer Adrianno Jeffery.
He reportedly collapsed while playing football at the school.
Jeffery was rushed to Percy Junor Hospital, where he was pronounced dead.
Expressing sadness at his passing, the Education Ministry said it activated its grief and trauma support teams, which were deployed to the school today.
Ministry representatives will also offer counselling support to Jeffery’s family.
Meanwhile, Christiana High coach Declan Nelson said Jeffery will be greatly missed.
