Reggae singer, Stevie Face has partnered with the Help Jamaica Medical Mission to stage a health fair in St Thomas in just over a week.

A native of the parish, the Tell it Like it Is singer says his love for his hometown motivated him to give back to residents who are unable to afford health care.

Slated for September 7, the health fair will see doctors from the Help Jamaica Medical Mission offering free eye checks, blood pressure checks, back-to-school medicals and other health services. Persons will also be able to have their prescriptions filled and receive free medication upon diagnosis.

Help Jamaica Medical Mission is a US based organisation consisting of volunteer specialist doctors and nurses from the New Jersey, New York, and Connecticut Tri-State areas.

The team has been travelling to Jamaica since 2010 attending to thousands of patients.
