Starr Dawkinz reacts to Diddy’s disturbing assault video
US-based Dancehall deejay Starr Dawkinz is among the social media users weighing in on Diddy’s 2016 assault on Cassie, following a video released by CNN today (May 17).
“And there is no money that can compensate for the trauma, so her getting that money is the least thing he could do after promising her a career & only giving her abuse. I’m sure he was also in a dark time so I pray he gets the help cuz u gotta be mentally sick to do this to women,” she wrote, in the comment section of a post showing the brutal video.
The 2016 surveillance video released by CNN shows Sean “Diddy” Combs grabbing, shoving, dragging, and kicking his then-girlfriend Cassie Ventura during an altercation that matches allegations in a now-settled federal lawsuit filed by Cassie in November.
The footage, compiled from multiple camera angles dated March 5, 2016, appears to show the rapper, producer, and business mogul during an incident that, according to CNN, occurred at the now-closed InterContinental Hotel in Century City, Los Angeles.
In the video, Cassie exits a hotel room and walks to a bank of elevators. Diddy, holding a towel around his waist, runs down a hall after Cassie and throws her to the floor.
“He is done for”, “He’s sick”, and “Cassie is owed a lot of apologies”, are some of the comments shared by some social media users across Instagram.
Since November, Diddy has faced five other civil lawsuits accusing him of a range of sexual misconduct and other illegal activity. He has denied the allegations, and the cases remain active.
