Star striker Khadija “Bunny” Shaw headlines Reggae Girls squad for CONCACAF World Cup qualifiers

Star striker Khadija “Bunny” Shaw headlines Jamaica’s Reggae Girls squad for the upcoming CONCACAF World Cup qualifiers against Antigua and Barbuda and Guyana next month.

The squad also sees the return of Trudi Carter but will be without injured defender Konya Plummer.

The full squad includes goalkeepers Sydney Schneider, Rebecca Spencer, and Liya Brooks.

Defenders named are Tianna Harris, Chantelle Swaby, Vyan Sampson, Kameron Simmonds, Amelia Van Zanten, and Allyson Swaby.

In midfield, Olufolasade Adamolekun, Atlanta Primus, Drew Spence, Trudi Carter, and Deneisha Blackwood have been selected.

The forwards are Kayla McKenna, Natasha Thomas, Khadija Shaw, Shania Hayles, Jody Brown, Paige Bailey-Gayle, Solai Washington, and Kalyssa Van Zanten.

Head coach Hubert Busby is encouraging fans to come out in support for both matches, while expressing disappointment over Plummer’s absence due to injury.

The Reggae Girls will face Antigua and Barbuda on April 10 at the National Stadium, before taking on Guyana on April 18.
