The St Mary Police are probing two separate murders committed in Huddersfield, and Belfield Works, yesterday.

Dead are 21-year-old Javarntai Taitam of Belfield Works, and 48-year-old Jordan Murphy, a tiler of Fernandez Gardens in Huddersfield, in the parish.

Murphy was killed in the latest incident.

Reports are that at about 9pm, residents of Huddersfield heard explosions and summoned the police.

Officers who responded found Murphy along  a dirt track in a pool of blood. 

He was pronounced dead at hospital.

Hours earlier, Taitam was stabbed in Belfield Works.

Reports are that at about 9:45 am, Taitam and a 15yearboy had a dispute which became physical.

During the fight, a pair of scissors was reportedly used to stab Taitam in the neck.

Taitam died at hospital.

The accused teen has been taken into custody.
