St. James Police report 33% reduction in murders, in comparison to last year
St. James has recorded a 33% reduction in murders, in comparison to last year.
That’s according to Head of the Division Superintendent Eron Samuels.
He said while St. James recorded 90 murders since January, the highest number in the country this year, this is 43 fewer than the 133 recorded in the corresponding period last year.
Superintendent Samuels said since the launch of Operation Storm, the St. James police have been reaping rewards in the fight against gangs, guns and gunmen.
