Principal of the St. Elizabeth Technical High School Keith Wellington has pointed out that it will likely be some months before normal classes can resume.

The school, as well as the homes of some students and staff, suffered significant damage during the passage of Hurricane Melissa.

He said with no electricity, telephone or internet service, it’s not ideal to switch to remote teaching and learning, at this time.

Wellington acknowledged that the hurricane will contribute to more learning loss, as the affected students are the same ones who were already affected by the Covid pandemic.
