The St. Elizabeth Police say a number of operations targeting gangs are underway and -will continue.

Head of the division Superintendent Coleridge Minto made the revelation while speaking with Prime Minister Andrew Holness in the parish, yesterday.

Meantime, the Prime Minister said St. Elizabeth does not embrace criminality and can be an example to other parishes.

He stressed that if residents and the police work together, St. Elizabeth can see a year where no murder is recorded.
