St. Elizabeth police charge two supermarket employees with alleged theft of 5 gallons of rum
The St. Elizabeth police have charged two supermarket employees with simple larceny following the alleged theft of five gallons of rum last Saturday.
Charged are 23-year-old Javorn Gordon of Littitz in St. Elizabeth and 59-year-old Manly Richards of Montpelier in Manchester.
Allegations are that on September 14, the men jointly took five bottles of one-gallon white overproof rum valued at $40,500 from the establishment, before leaving for their private quarters.
A report was made to the police and an investigation commenced.
Evidence led to the arrest and charge of the men. Their court date is not yet finalized.
