The St. Elizabeth Police have charged a mother and daughter for the murder of a farmer on Monday, April 1.

They are 24-year-old Amanda Stewart and 43-year-old Lisa Muir both of Roses Valley District in St. Elizabeth.

The deceased was identified as  23-year-old   Francois Vassell, also of Roses Valley District.

Reports are that about 2:45 a.m., Vassell and his spouse, Stewart, were engaged in a dispute that escalated into a physical altercation.

It’s alleged that Stewart’s mother, Muir joined the altercation, armed with a machete.

Vassell sustained multiple wounds and was transported to hospital, where he later died.

The court dates for the women are being arranged.
