The St. Elizabeth Police are probing the death of 23-year-old, farmer Francois Vassell of Siloah District and Roses Valley District, in the parish.

Reports from the Balaclava Police are that between 2:45 a.m. and 3:20 a.m., on Monday, April 1, Vassell and a woman had an argument at his home. It escalated into a fight.

The police say the woman’s sister and mother, who was armed with a machete joined and started to fight Vassell.

Vassell received injuries and fell to the ground. He was assisted to the hospital, where he died while undergoing treatment.

Investigations continue.
