St Catherine south police report 15% reduction in major crimes
There has been a 15% reduction in major crimes in the St. Catherine south police division.
Commander of the division, Senior Superintendent Leighton Gray says murders are down 30% and shootings are down 28%.
In giving an update to Prime Minister Dr. Andrew Holness, SSP Gray explains that the police met with residents, yesterday.
He says efforts continue to discourage young males from a life of crime.
The St. Catherine south police chief adds that officers have been monitoring the traffic situation in the area.
