Residents in sections of St. Catherine affected by flooding after heavy rains yesterday are now undertaking clean-up activities.

Videos circulating on social media depict inundated homes and cars submerged in flood waters.

According to the Office of Disaster Preparedness and Emergency Management (ODPEM), sections of St. Johns Road, Fairview Park, Friendship, and Ebony Vale were impacted.

One resident of St. Johns Road told IRIE F-M news that flooding is common in the community, noting concerns about drain cleaning.
