The St. Catherine north police are investigating the circumstances surrounding a double murder in Old Road, Spanish Town, last Wednesday.

The deceased have been identified as Bruce McKenzie of Old Road, and 24-year-old Renae Carr of Demshire Pen, both in Spanish Town, St. Catherine.

Reports are that about 9:30 pm, residents heard explosions and summoned the police.

Upon their arrival, Mckenzie and Carr were found with gunshot wounds, along a river bank.

They were taken to hospital, where they were pronounced dead.
