The election of the St Catherine Football Association (SCFA) set for this Sunday has been postponed.

This following the Supreme Court’s decision to grant an injunction filed by the Royale Lakes Football club against the SCFA.

The election has been a cause for concern for several St Catherine-based clubs during the weeks leading up to the date.

The basis of the application for the injunction is that Royal Lakes FC along with several other St. Catherine based football clubs allege that the executive of the St. Catherine Football Association have committed several breaches of the constitution of the St. Catherine Football Association, in convening the election without adherence to procedures dictated by its constitution. 

The matter is to be further ventilated by the Supreme Court at a later date.
