The St Catherine Football Association, has been given the green light for the staging of the 2026 St Catherine Major League.

This as the Supreme Court today ruled that the injunction of January 23, 2026, to prevent the playing of the Major League has been lifted.

The Supreme Court of Jamaica has granted multiple injunctions against the St. Catherine Football Association following legal challenges led by Dr. Jason McKay and affiliated clubs, effectively stalling competitions and questioning the association’s governance.

Earlier this month an injunction halted the 2026 Major League season due to the association’s failure to comply with previous court orders regarding appeals.

The court blocked the 2026 season because the St Catherine failed to hear a pending appeal from the New Raiders Football Club.
