St. Ann has recorded yet another murder, following a deadly shooting in Mount Edgecombe, this morning.

The deceased has been identified as 28-year-old Renarko Campbell, otherwise known as “Okie”, a construction worker of Royal Palm, Runaway Bay in the parish.

Reports are that around 12:10 A.M., Campbell was walking along the roadway, when a white Toyota Corolla Axio motor car drove up.

Armed men reportedly exited the vehicle and opened fire at Campbell.

Police say the gunmen chased him and shot him multiple times.

Lawmen were alerted and upon their arrival, Campbell was seen suffering from gunshot wounds to the upper body.

He was taken to hospital, where he was pronounced dead.

Investigations are ongoing.

At least 32 people have been murdered in St. Ann since the start of the year.
